Helping Today. Helping Tommorow

How can you get involved?

  • Commit to praying, based on prayer points CWM provides.
  • Commit to giving a monthly amount, nothing is too small or too big.
  • Donate various items to provide in the women’s basic needs (ask us for our recommendations on useful items.)
  • Volunteer: Become an advocate for the women in your local church/community. Ask us about ways you can be practically involved.

“A generous person will be blessed, for he has given some of his food to the poor.” Proverbs 22:9

Lending a helping hand

Matthew 25:35-36 “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me...”

Become a Partner

We call on individuals, small groups, churches and organizations to partner with us, to be the light in these dark communities, by making God known, extending His love to them and eventually winning (some of) them for Christ.

Send a Gift

The work of Care for Women Ministry runs entirely on the generous gifts of people willing to invest in God’s Kingdom.

THE DREAM

The hope is to one day see these women to be free from the accusations and stigmatisation, so that they can be reintegrated into their communities without fear. Sadly, many do not wish to leave for fear of a recurrence of the brutal attacks or the real possibility of being accused again and killed.

As of February 2025, Ghana’s President has yet to sign the bill passed in July 2023 to criminalize witchcraft accusations. This legislation seeks to amend the Criminal Offences Act of 1960, making it illegal to accuse individuals of witchcraft and mandating the closure of “witch camps,” where the accused women are forced to live.

The delay in the presidential assent has prolonged the suffering of these women, exposing them to continued violence and social injustice. CWM stands with other advocates in urging the President to sign the bill into law without further delay to protect human rights and end these abuses.

To achieve this, CWM needs prayer and financial support as well as extra hands to get this work done.
